The Spoops Art Mentorship Program
The Spoops Art Mentorship Program has been serving youth and business professionals since 2007. This yearlong program provides online instruction in digital and 3D illustration techniques by world renowned illustrator Spoops Myrfors.
Students and professionals will learn the fine art of layered digital illustration utilizing various digital painting programs and filters with a strong focus on Adobe Photoshop and Poser 3D.
Beyond learning the basic tools of digital illustration each student will learn many unique skills such as digital brush making and installation and many inside tricks and tips on using light, layers, filters, digital drawing and building art assets within your work.
To be considered for this program each candidate is required to provide a sample of original visual art, an artist’s statement about the piece, complete the Spoops Art Mentorship Art Evaluation & Submission Form and pay a $30 evaluation fee.
On acceptance into the program students must provide their own equipment, agree to complete one lesson module a week, sign a one year contract of commitment and pay a nonrefundable tuition fee.
Equipment requirements include, but are not limited to:
- A functional computer with, at least, an Microsoft® XP operating system
- A high speed internet connection
- A WACOM® tablet (any size) and electronic pen
- Photoshop® CS3 or CS4
- Poser® 7+
